Mr. Ryan Leavengood has been Lake Alfred's City Manager since March of 2012. He was formerly the Assistant City Manager for the City of Auburndale. Ryan has a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Environmental Policy and Science. He was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for students of public administration and was the 2007 recipient of the B. Harold Farmer Scholarship.. . . . Mr. Leavengood is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Florida City/County Management Association (FCCMA). Wake Up Tampa Bay is a mindfulness and meditation group for people aged 18 to 35.. . . . Come join us for our biweekly meditation and discussion in the Lotus Hall of the Florida Community Of Mindfulness Practice Center (~20-25 minutes from USF Tampa Campus). . . . . We will guide you through a 20-30 minute sitting meditation, followed by 10 minutes of walking meditation. Then we will read from a Dharma book together, discuss the teachings and share how we apply them to our life.. . . . Afterwards we will have tea and snacks downstairs in the Sangha Hall.. . Arrive late or leave early as needed. There is no charge for this event.. .
