- Feb 76:30 PMMeet City Manager Ryan LeavengoodWe are excited to host City Manager Ryan Leavengood of Lake Alfred as our guest speaker. Want to learn more running an organization as large as a city? Or about managing an organization with 51-200 employees? Mr. Leavengood has a wealth of experience to share. Our next meeting will be on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. in SOC 366 (Social Sciences Building, Room 366). . . . . Mr. Ryan Leavengood has been Lake Alfred's City Manager since March of 2012. He was formerly the Assistant City Manager for the City of Auburndale. Ryan has a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Environmental Policy and Science. He was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for students of public administration and was the 2007 recipient of the B. Harold Farmer Scholarship.. . . . Mr. Leavengood is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Florida City/County Management Association (FCCMA). He previously served on the FCCMA Board of Directors and is the Chair of the Polk County Manager's Group.. . . . --. . . . This meeting will also be our Student Officer Elections. Nominations and self-nominations are welcome. Each candidate will be given a chance to present during the meeting.
