This isn't your typical field trip – it's an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at a local business or organization in the St. Petersburg campus community. Get ready to go from theory to practice as you gain insights about local businesses, meet other USF students and industry professionals, and maybe even uncover a hidden passion!We will be visiting the Maritime Defense and Technology Hub adjacent to campus near the Port of St Pete! Learn more about the HUM at: https://www.stpeteinnovationdistrict.com/initiatives/maritime-and-defense-technology-hub - The Maritime and Defense Technology Hub (Hub) in the St. Pete Innovation District is a shared workspace that brings together under one roof the triple helix of innovation: industry, government, and academia. It takes advantage of the increased need for maritime and national security technology solutions across the State of Florida and the Federal government. The Innovation District, a nonprofit organization, manages the Hub. Over 20 organizations are sub-tenants. The sub-tenants are curated based on their alignment to the City and County target industries with particular attention on marine science, defense, and technology sectors. Join WellBuilt City and us in distributing food to those who need it at Mort Park every Wednesday starting at 2 PM!
