Saturday, October 25th we have 12 seats available for an offshore trip. We will be fishing between 10 and 20 miles offshore, targeting grouper, snapper, hogs, and any other game fish we find out there. The trip will be split into two, 4 hour sections. 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. 6 people in the morning, 6 in the afternoon. Tickets are $110 per person and will be paid via zelle or venmo (price includes tip). The signup will be released next week and all slots are sold on a first come first serve basis. This mock trial tournament at the George Edgecomb Courthouse is a competition where students act as attorneys and witnesses in a simulated courtroom trial! Judges score teams based on their legal knowledge, argumentation, presentation, and adherence to courtroom procedure. As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, the American Cancer Society hosts a noncompetitive walk to raise breast cancer awareness called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Our organization participates in this walk every year and we are inviting you to participate in it and walk with us! The event also consists of food trucks, music, and free swag! La Grande Illusion is a major exhibition of works by internationally acclaimed artist, Brian Maguire. The exhibition spans two decades of work that spotlights the artist’s lifelong quest to draw attention to global injustices, war, and human rights. One of Ireland's leading cultural figures, Maguire has turned the practice and tradition of painting into acts of visual testimony. Maguire’s paintings are global in scope and are derived from projects undertaken between 2007 and 2024 in Mexico, the Mediterranean, Syria, Sudan, the United States, and the Amazon. Maguire's artworks are painted from direct experience and involve the artist spending extensive time on the ground with the communities that welcome him.
