We are working with the Hillsborough County Office of Emergency Management as they help get resources to those in need. We are seeking volunteers for the Point of Distribution (POD), located at the Bailey Elementary School in Dover. You will play a crucial role in aiding those affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. At the site, you will help to ensure that residents have access to all available resources following the storm. This site also needs bilingual Spanish speakers. This may include sorting and organizing supplies to then hand out to residents that drive up to include ready-made meals, water, and other supplies while fostering a welcoming environment. Throughout your shift, you’ll engage with community members, listen to their stories, and offer encouragement, helping to build a sense of connection among those facing challenges. At the end of the day, you’ll assist with clean-up to ensure the space is ready for continued support.
