Check-In: Go to the Volunteer Engagement Center located at 120 E Ross Ave near the center of the building with the blue awning. . . . . Personal Items: It is best to leave purses and electronics at home or out of sight in your trunk or another secure location while volunteering. . . . . What to Expect: . . . . As a Morning Volunteer, you will support our mission by assisting in one of the following areas: . . . . Outreach: Help families choose food and clothes for their families. . . . . Clothing Warehouse/Thrift Store: Accept donations, sort, and choose donated items for our thrift store and Outreach department. . . . . Kitchen: Clean the kitchen, prep, cook, and serve food to our residents and community partners. For ages 12+ only. . . . . Environmental: Keep the grounds of Metropolitan Ministries clean and beautiful, ensuring a nice environment for the residents and the community. . . . . PromiseLand: Assist the teachers with the babies and toddlers in our preschool. For ages 16+ only. . . . . . . The minimum age to volunteer for this shift is 8+ if accompanied by an adult, or 14+ without an adult. . . . .
