Minorities in Medicine is partnering with Feeding Tampa Bay to host volunteers at Trinity Cafe. Feeding Tampa Bay is a non-profit organization that provides meals that fuel learning, health, and stability, while also working to dismantle barriers and create people-focused solutions that break the cycle of food insecurity for lasting community fluorishing. 📍Location: 2801 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL, 33602 ⏰Time: September 27th, 2025 (8:30-10:30 AM)What to expect: At Trinity Cafe, we will serve the guests a nutritious, hot, sit-down meal. We, as volunteers, will assume the role of restaurant "wait staff" including serving tables, bussing tables, hosting tables, and other restaurant tasks. REMINDERS:  -ALL Volunteers MUST wear closed-toe shoes for safety. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to volunteer. Appropriate attire includes shirts with sleeves (NO tank tops), and jeans or shorts or appropriate length.  -Volunteers will be asked to fill out a liability waiver onsite at the shift.  -Please arrive on time as orientation will take place no later than 10 minutes after the shift's designated start time.  -PARKING: Parking is limited and carpooling is strongly recommended. Enter the lot from Nebraska Ave. and park in any open space; the volunteer entrance is at the back of the building, marked with a purple sign-- go through the double doors to the kitchen, and continue into the dining room.
